About Doctor Joyce

Dr. Joyce Morley was born the youngest of fourteen children and is the mother of three daughters. She is the owner and CEO of Morley & Associates, Inc. and is affectionately known as “Dr. Joyce, the Luv Doctor”. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Elementary Education/Psychology from SUNY Geneseo; a Master of Science degree (MS) in Counseling from SUNY Brockport, Specialist degrees (Ed.S.) in Counseling and Education Administration from SUNY Brockport, and a Doctorate degree (Ed.D.) in Counseling, Family and Worklife (CFW) from the University of Rochester. She is recognized as a National Certified Counselor and National Certified School Counselor by the American Counseling Association (ACA), a Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and a Certified Criminal Justice Specialist by the National Association of Forensic Counselors (NAFC). Dr. Joyce has served as an educator in the public school system and as a professor at the post secondary level for many years. She engages in motivational/keynote speaking, training, executive, relationship, life coaching, and mediation at the national, state and local levels, and she serves as a licensed psychotherapist in private practice.

Dr. Joyce does consulting for businesses, organizations, and educational institutions, including The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), Core Consultant for the Georgia Center for Nonprofits (GCN), the U. S. Dept. of Education, the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, Project GRAD Atlanta, and other organizations. She served as president of the Atlanta Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and the Jeannette Rankin Foundation in Athens, Georgia. Dr. Joyce has served on several Boards of Directors, including Kate's Club and the Porsche Foxx Community Fund (PFCF). She has been recognized by Who’s Who In Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who Among Human Service Professionals, and The World’s Who’s Who Among Women, and she is featured in the 2008 edition of the African-American National Biography. She was selected to serve as an International Delegate for the World Mental Health Organization, and led a mental health team to assist in the mental health needs of hurricane Katrina survivors, especially first responders and their families.

Dr. Joyce appeared on CNN Talk Back Live, CNN Families at The Dinner Table, provided consultation with CNN on Children of Divorce, appeared on Good Day Atlanta with Georgia Women On Line for Change and UPN’s “Focus Atlanta”. She has also served as an expert guest on Atlanta radio and television stations KISS 104.1, WAOK, WGUN, WZGC, Mississippi radio station WACR, as well as stations in Hawaii, NYC, Oklahoma, Florida, North Carolina, Baltimore, Iowa, Rev. Jessie Jackson’s TV & radio talk shows, and as a regular expert guest on WVEE-V103's Porsche Foxx’s Issues Monday and Taboo Tuesday shows. Dr. Joyce served as an expert guest on WXIA TV 11–Alive and as a regular relationship expert on Praise 97.5, UPN, the Conn Jackson TV Show, the Family Digest TV Show and other radio and TV shows. She served as a National Keynote Speaker for “Speaking of Women’s Health” & “Universal Sisters” and she has spoken at Madison Square Garden as well as other major venues. She is recognized as a relationship expert, relationship coach, and expert on various topics. Dr. Joyce also served as an expert on the TBS TV show, "Pathfinders". She is a talk show host, author, poet, and columnist, where she served as an expert consultant to Ebony Magazine, contributing to the article “Five Men and Five Women to Avoid”, Essence.com, Essence Magazine, Atlanta Woman Magazine, Black Enterprise Magazine, the Rome News-Tribune, Atlanta Good Life Magazine, Atlanta Women Magazine, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Atlanta Journal & Constitution (AJC), as well as other magazines and newspapers. She contributed to articles on WebMD and the New York Daily News. She is Relationship Editor and she authored columns for “Family Digest” Magazine, entitled, “Marriage Makeovers”, and “Relationship Treatments.” Dr. Joyce was featured on the cover and in feature articles in “Galz Magazine”, entitled “Wordz with Dr. Joyce” and she served on the editorial board of the magazine .Her book of poetry is entitled “Weary But Not Worn: A Spiritual Reawakening” and her recently published book is entitled “Seeds for the Harvest of A Lifetime: increasing Self-Awareness, Self-Esteem, and Improving Relationships.” Dr. Joyce hosted a live, weekly, radio call-in talk show on WGUN entitled the “Dr. Joyce Show”; she co-hosted the weekly “Love and Relationships Show” on Atlanta’s WVEE- V-103-FM. She hosted the “Dr. Joyce Show” on Love 860 AM, served as a relationship expert on the “Better Mornings Atlanta” TV show. the “JJ on Atlanta” TV show, as a regular relationship expert on the nationally syndicated “Mike & Juliet” TV show, and she currently provides a monthly relationship segment on Atlanta’s Kiss 104.1 FM & the nationally syndicated Conn Jackson TV Show,\. Dr. Joyce continues to contribute to magazines, newspapers, TV and radio as an expert. Dr. Joyce is a member of Women in Film & Television Atlanta & International (WIFTA/WIFTI).
