Good morning, Dr. Joyce. I caught the tail-end of your conversation with Tawanda Black this morning. I thoroughly enjoyed the discussion. I was listening and was basically saying "hello!" :) Thank you for truth!

Dr. Joyce Your guidance and understanding brought me from the jaws of darkness, shame, insecurity, and distrust. I am much removed from all those parasites. Being able to reason, compromise, by-pass anger, and staying focused feels better! You put your whole heart and soul into doing for others.and it sure is a blessing to be on the receiving end.

I would like to personally thank you for all of your love, understanding, humility, spiritual guidance, leadership, support, encouragement, wisdom, advice, and overall help. I have learned so much from your dedication and hard work with me over the last 17 years. I remember it like it was yesterday, calling your office at my Primary Physician's request to get Pschycotherapy for all the stress and depression I was experiencing in my life. From the onset you were very cordial, confident, firm, and professional over the phone. Immediately, I knew that you were the right person God wanted me to confide in. At that time in my life, I had only been in Atlanta for 3 years but was way overdue on dealing with a lot of baggage from my past. Collectively we took a deep look at my issues and addressed them one by one. I learned so much about myself, the origin of my problems, and how to grow from that point. After Dr. Joyce's counseling sessions, I grew to communicate better, increase my self-esteem, self confidence, make healthier decisions, and realized my overall self worth. It is now 2010, and it was a long hard road to get to this point, but Dr. Joyce I think I finally got it. I now realize and admit that I wasted many years searching for happiness on the outside, when all the while you were teaching me to search within. I searched high and low in my romantic relationships with men, my family members, my friends, and even my church members. It wasn't until I nurtured my relationship with God that I found the peace within. Had I done this earlier, I could have avoided a lot of head aches, heart aches, negative experiences, misuse and abuse to and from others. At one point, I was headed in the direction of self destruction. Once again, I thank you Dr. Joyce for all of your help. God blessed you with many awesome gifts and talents. I will venture to say that you saved my life. I honestly and sincerely appreciate all that you did and continue to do. May God continue to bless you and your family in your endeavors. Keep up the great work!!!

Dr. Joyce is my mentor and my idol. I believe that her footsteps are the closest footsteps to my own. Dr. Joyce is the woman that I aspire to be like professionally. With that being said, I would like to know if there is an opportunity for me to work or volunteer with Dr. Joyce. An opportunity would be nothing less than a blessing from God. Thank you.

I was blessed to hear Dr. Joyce Speak at a womens conference at my church and it was like I had hit a brick wall and all I could do is say...I GET IT!!! She made it so plain. Over the years my mother and I have had a trying relationship, one because we are so much alike, and two because we have been raised very differently. Growing up, I was always hard on my mom for not understanding this or not doing that. It seemed as if I was so hurt because we just couldn't talk. I held on to pain from those trying times and after hearing Dr. Joyce speak, I just broke down! She made it plain. Stop blaming your mom for everything, She said to the crowd. Stop blaming your past. Start celebrating and appreciating the sacrifices that were made for you. You won't always know what those sacrifices were, but it was so clear to me that I had so much more to celebrate in the strong mother that I have. A single mother of two, who relocated and decided to create a life for us that she did not have could not be easy! As a mother of two, I can appreciate how far we have come. I thank Dr. Joyce for giving a powerful message that forced me to look within and stop having a pity party. It was a hard message to accept at first, but it was so very true and I thank her for sharing her gift with me and the other women in the room that day.

Dear Dr. Joyce, You are a vessel! Isn't it amazing how God works? Let me first start with how I felt this morning before coming to work. I woke up with an anger inside me against my husband that I have had for quite some time now. It is a rage that I tell myself everyday - all day long - that I am going to suppress and move on. "Turn the page" my mother says. But sometimes I get caught in a time warp and I find myself consumed by the past. Before I got to the end of my street, I noticed the conversation between you and Tawanda (not sure if this is her name). God must have used the two of you as a vessel. I am looking forward to purchasing your book, Seeds for the Harvest of a Lifetime..., as I believe that regardless of what happens in my marriage, your book will help me shed any psychological anchors that are preventing me from living a healthy future, May you continue to be blessed in your endeavors.

I just wanted to tell you thank you and to wish you a wonderful day. Thanks for always being concerned about me personally, relationally and spiritually. I know that you are a busy woman, therapist, mother and grandmother, but in the midst of all of this, you still take the time to think of me and be concerned about me. And for that, I thank you. I am deeply and eternally grateful that God allowed our paths to cross. I admire you, look up to you and love you dearly. Have a wonderful day! I pray that God continues to bless you and everything you touch. Live well; live blessed.

Everything has been going excellent for me. I really appreciate all that you have done for me, and I won't forget it either. I used the advice that you gave me about journaling.. I don't do a daily journal, but I do write down my blessings, proverbs that may be revealed to me, goals (long & short term), and whatever else I may think of. That is a very powerful form of making things real and tangible.

Dear Fabulous Doctor Joyce Thank you so much for inviting me to the Dress for Success event! You certainly showed me how to rock the house!!!!!! You have it so together professionally! Thank you again for showing me yet another wonderful part of the world and opening up my eyes to the impact of professional speaking.... God has given you so many gifts and you are certainly using them. You did everything that every speaking class has taught me: Audience participation. Engage the audience, share personal stories. Wow! God certainly had a plan when he had me speak to you at that airport (Where WAS that? I forgot.) And I did not have a CLUE as to WHO you were and your impact on the world!!! I have only the utmost respect for you.... Love Ya- Dr. Barbara Serle Rhodes

Dr. Joyce,
You have been such a joy and inspiration to me in these last several months. Prior to my work with you, I was spiraling down a deep tunnel, and couldn't see it myself. I am finally feeling as if there is a light, now, at the end of this tunnel (and, I can say this with a straight face, despite how absolutely clichéd that sounds!)Thank you for helping me to find my joy again.

I heard you speak at the women's conference in Cincinnati, Ohio. I was so impressed that I was compelled to purchase "Seeds for a the Harvest of a Lifetime".
I, recently went through a divorce. Even though it was finalized a couple of months ago the pain remains along with unresolved emotions. I can't begin to tell just how much this book has helped me.
Thank you so much!

Dr. Joyce,
You are such a special soul! I remember the first time I met you while we were waiting to do our tapings for "Focus on Atlanta" at the UPN studio. I was so upset with the event that had just occurred and you were so calming to me telling me that I can do it. You believed in me when I didn't think I could do it and you didn't even know me. You were sincerely interested in me and how you could help. This is such a rare quality in the world today that people even care. After that day, we decided to feature you as GalZ Magazine's Summer GalZ Gal and what a wonderful feature you made. You are such an inspirational, empowering and spiritual woman. Everything that GalZ stands for you exemplify. I don't believe in coincidences and I know that God had our paths cross for a reason. I want to thank you for the wonderful column that you write in GalZ, "WordZ from Dr. Joyce". The insight that you share is invaluable and our readers (of course we do too)love and appreciate your words.

Dr. Joyce. congratulations on your new radio show! I am thrilled that you now will be able to reach so many more souls. Thank you for being you!

Dr. Joyce, I truly enjoyed the time you counseled me and I must say I learned a lot about myself. I find myself counseling my friends with their issues and think sometimes I missed my calling because some of the things you said to me I find myself inspiring my friends with and they will forever be in my heart and mind. I know myself and don't mind telling anyone that I'm confident with me. I enjoy being/living alone. 2 ½ years ago after I separated from Herman, Sr., I lost 30 pounds and have maintained them somewhat. I got new glasses and sometimes wear them.

Hello Dr. Joyce,

I don't know if you remember coaching and counseling me during the African American Center for Creative Leadership Training, May, 2005. I am reflecting on how blessed I have been over 2005/2006 and you crossed my mind. You were instrumental in me making the leap into my future. I am compelled to share with you some of the changes that have happened in my life since we connected. EVERYTHING!

I have a new job, moved into a new neighborhood, have added many mentors to my network, have a new church and have found my VOICE; I thrown away the box and seeking all GOD has for me! I'm no longer afraid or timid about what I feel I desire and have made plans to reach the goals GOD has revealed to me. I have conquered my deepest fear of...greatness! Thank you for your wisdom, godly counsel and support. My family and I have moved to the next level; and am excited about what is to manifest.

I'd love to connect with you 1:1 to hear more about the great things GOD's done in your life as well.

Merry Christmas and have a Blessed and Properous New Year!

It's not just "I know who she is", but a wonderful sisterly connection that I pray will exist forever. You may not know this but you inspire me in so many ways and today is a great day to tell you so. May God continue to use you as an uplifting to so many and may you continue to grow both in success and in the spirit of the Lord. Always, Rhonda

Doctor Joyce is simply incredible! Each and every time I visit with her for coaching and consulting services about my business, I am in awe. I recently branched out into my own private medical practice, and have since contracted with Dr. Joyce to help me with solidifying my business plan and with marketing and developing my business. The outcomes have been astounding already! I have renewed confidence as well. I am so happy that I met with Dr. Joyce, and would recommend her without hesitation for business consultation services! Dr. Joyce, I have been in counseling with you for some time now, and finally I have "graduated". I can't tell you what it means to look at the person that I am now, and know how much I've grown. You helped me help myself, and for that I am grateful. I want to let those people out there who may be hurting, and want to seek help, but just aren't able to reach out know that you don't have to suffer. Help is available. Talk to someone, reach out. You can get beyond this point. This may be the lowest point of your life, but believe me you can always get back up and rise again. Whatever you are going through, it is truly a moment in time, it doesn't have to be this way for the rest of your life. I suffered from depression, anxiety attacks, and other issues that made my life hell, but I found help, and now that part of my life is over. I have a new life. If you are hurting, seek help. Find a professional that you feel comfortable with to help you through this difficult time. With that person's help and your work, you will make it.

Dr. Joyce, I must say, you really did acknowledge me in a special way during the "The Love and Relationships Show" this past Sunday (I will not forget that ever!). I had an opportunity to listen to the entire show and I thought it was very educational. You are truly a gifted woman that has paid her dues and I commend you on your accomplishments as well as your success. I don't know what purpose the "MAN" above has placed us in each other paths, but I can only imagine it's for a powerful purpose. I really didn't get an opportunity to explain what it is I am accomplishing, attached to this email is information about me and a powerful assignment from God. In addition, in an effort to increase exposure of C.P. Plasma Center, Inc. within the metro Atlanta community, I have been selected as Chairman of the Health & Fitness Committee for the Sweet Auburn Spring Festival 2003. For more information you can review the website at www.sweetauburn.com. The CO Group has done a wonderful job on your website!! You have a very nice picture on you website and a pretty smile. I will stop by Doc's Wings & Mo to get a brotha grub on. Until then, you take care of yourself and I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest opportunity. Humbled By His Grace!!! C.P. peace and many blessings Dr. Joyce..... I have to say that your show on v-103 inspires me in so many ways. There are not many that speak the truth. We like things to be sugar coated when the reality is that we need truth. We all know that it hurts as well as we know that it must hurt before it gets better. I thank God for allowing you to be you. I thank God for allowing me to have and open ear and heart to your sermon you give. I do want to say that I have been listening tonight (march 16) and I heard the sister that has been being batterd for 10 years and my soul cries out for her. I watch my parents fight and know that is not the route for me. I refuse to be with a Guy who raises his voice to me. I agree when you say we need to know who we are dealing with before we start laying up with them. We also need to know who we are, because after they are done with us we blame for our allowing. I say parents raise your kids and not leave it to someone else. teach them that who they are and whom they can become is unlimited. We need to stop letting these men who were not properly raise, raise our youth. they need to know that they are unique and that they stand for something. We as women need to realize that we are more powerful than we think. We need to truely understand the true meaning of loving ourselves. Please, please keep doing what you do, your are a true asset to women in the community. Huggins

My husband was surprisingly pleased with your seminar. I can actually see some positive "after-effects"! He said that it is time for him to move beyond blaming his past for who he is now. Now that he understands the past, he is ready to focus on the present and future, without the excess baggage from the past. Can you believe these words came from my husband???
